FELLAS, I'M NEW TO THIS FORUM AND I DON'T HAVE ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SUSPENSION OR THE DIFFERENT SET-UP AVALIABLE. I OWN A 79 MAZDA GLC THAT I'VE BROUGHT BACK FROM THE CEMENTARY THAT'S ALMOST COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE SUSPENSION. THIS CAR SPRINGS AND SHOCKS REALLY SUCKS SOMETHING SCAREY. THE CAR SWAY'S AND IT'S REALLY BAD ON ROUGH RODES AND CURVES. WHAT'S THE BASIC RACING SET-UP FOR A CAR THAT RUN'S ON THE TRACK AND STREET ?

Hi there Rotaryloco,

Setting up the GLC is just like any other car,

Start by replacing all bushes and ball joints/tie rod ends,
Check the steering box,
Get some good tyres

Then add, new high perfomance shocks, stiffer springs, and a set of uprated antiroll bars, and it should feel quite good.

If you want a quote on the suspension parst, email me at
