Hi I have purchased a whiteline rear sway bar from Repco for my datsun 1600.This unit is adjustable. The 1600 has a welded diff totally locked 5.1 ratio. The car understeers badly. Should the bar be set in the stiffest position in the hopes that it will ease pressere on the inside wheel to allow some slip? The other 1600s that have slippery diffs and are quick use the sofest setting. We are doing sprints on tar roads. If i find a r180 limited slip diff what should the setting be then?
Cheers Bernie.

Hi Bernie Hollis,

Unfortunately there's no exact setting which is the best for any one particular vehicle. Depending on other modifications made and your driving style which will also affect which adjustment hole is most effective.

We recommend setting the bar to the softest setting and trialling it then working your way up from there to find what position is best for you.

Kind Regards,

Wayne
