I've got a Tigra/Barina GSI fitted with Koni Shocks and Eibach Springs. I'm thinking in changing the springs for the Whiteline one's. Do they retain some bump absorption?
People keeps telling me that the problem for the rough is the Koni Shock, whiteline says it's the Spring rate (to stiff).
any opinions? Barina Owners?
thanks

Hello Fernando,
Yes, Whiteline springs do retain bump free travel, with out it you actually loose performance handling. Due to the suspension being unable to absorb the bumps the car will actually start to skip across the undulations. That is not what Whiteline are about, We are all about providing performance handling solutions. Alot of spring manufacturers are out there trying to please the customers who just want the car to sit low ride hard and look good, but with doing this the ride quality is sacrificed. This may be the cause of your rough ride, especially if you are riding on the bump stops or if the spring rate is too high.
Koni shocks do not have a large amount of bump resistance, however there rebound resistance is adjustable, this will not cause a harsh ride, so, in short the springs are what will be causing the rough ride and not the shocks.
