I was reading the Hot4's article on the GTIR and it mentioned that whiteline had a couple of handling kits for the GTiR and that they could also supply setup information for more "race" oriented setups. I am interested to know if this information is still laying around somewhere. If it is, how can I get it? I have a 1992 GTiR and I am trying to build what I would call a " Tarmac" Rally Replica. I want to have all the looks of a modern WRC Tarmac car, and actually have the car handle well enought to support the looks. No point looking the part if the car handles like mom's estate.

Anyway, if anyone has information about converting the regular model GTiR into something that handles better, please post it up.

Cheers.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately, our fact sheets including Handling Packs are no longer available. You will find more information in this thread:

For a complete range of parts available for your car, please feel free to browse through our Online Parts Catalogue.

We've only had limited track experience with this chassis some years ago, but we have found that there was a lot of front bump steer so its good to address this and it is quite front heavy so a big rear swaybar is a must. Otherwise, match up the springs and shocks to suit your tyres, and fit various alignment kits such as camber and caster as required. I'd suggest around 30mm drop in ride heights, but this will depend on the design of your struts. Wheel alignment settings will then depend on your tyres, springs and shocks.

Hope that this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions or information.

Regards,
Wojtek.
